Krikzz has just released a new firmware for the NES / Famicom Everdrive N8 Pro ROM cart, that includes new Game Data and Cheat menu’s. Krikzz also added some tweaks, fixes and Real-Time Clock calibration, as well as a new way to install firmware files (just like he did with the recent Mega Everdrive Pro firmware). ONE IMPORTANT NOTE: If you never updated to firmware v2.15, it’s recommended you install v2.14 first – This will let you export the old saves, then import them to this version; More info in the previous N8 firmware post. And once again, please refer to the MEDPro post for tips on installing the new firmware for the first time.
Here’s the full list of changes:
- Removed legacy USB mode. Requires edlink-n8 v1.0.0.6 or newer for using USB
- Game Data menu. Jumps right to the saves/config folder of selected rom
- New cheat menu. 8 extra cheat slots and description field for each slot
- Recently played menu has more records
- Fixes for mapper 23
- Firmware version naming changed. Now version reflects release date
